SESSION MUSICIAN AND PERFORMER

I have a wide range of experience playing several instruments, in many different types of ensembles and in many different genres.
I am a confident sightreader and improviser, and can work from a score, lead sheet or by ear on any instrument. I work well in a group either undirected or directed, and I have an excellent ear allowing me to pick up music very quickly.
I have performed in pit bands for productions of musicals such as Jesus Christ Superstar and Thoroughly Modern Millie.
I am an experienced player on the North East club and pub gig scene playing and singing with my acoustic band Echofield.
I am regularly hired to play for wedding and events bands, as well as often playing the organ for the wedding itself!
I have experience in playing the organ or piano for church services including weddings and funerals and carol services.
I have also accompanied the York City Council 'Cansing!' choir for several years and am very comfortable playing for rehearsals and concerts.
I also accompany jazz singers and have performed in jazz trios and quartets as either keyboardist or guitarist in a range of venues including The SAGE Gateshead, York Railway Museum and The Jazz Cafe, Newcastle.
